Community Preparedness Exercise and Fair(COMPEF)


Planning meeting for Spring 2012 COMPEF event was held on Feb 9th. The COMPEF date was set for April 14th, 2012. This COMPEF event is meant for the participating organizations to show their committment through bringing the resources promised during COMPEF 2011 event. During the next COMPEF planning meeting, a software which uses social media for coordinating disaster relief will be demonstrated.

My Life in March 2012


MY LIFE (Magellan Youth Leaders Inspiring Future Empowerment) will have its yearly event featuring live music, performances, art, games and a variety of organizations offering inspiration, resources and services. MY LIFE is aimed at raising awareness about issues related mental health, substance abuse and foster care that youth and young adults face.

Community Fair at Arizona Collegiate High School on March 30th


CRUSH movement is now expanded to Arizona Collegiate High School (ACHS). TFC vists ACHS once every two weeks to mobilize the student community there with servant leadership. ACHS is organizing a Community Fair in partnership with TFC in order to introduce the community to the programs at ACHS and raise funds for various community service activities performed by the students.

CORA Faith and Service Day on Feb 18th, 2012


On Feb 18th, Council of Religious Advisors (CORA) @ ASU have organized a Faith and Service day. On this day all the organizations in CORA will get together to clean at the Indian Bend Wash Habitat from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. After this, everyone will get together for a BBQ at Daley Park.

TFC makes it to The State Press


ASU newspaper The State Press took notice of TFC's regular park clean up and covered our activities in their newspaper. This month, TFC went about its regular schedule to clean the Hudson Park. TFC was joined by Tempe Metropolitan Church (TMC) who have been helping TFC clean Hudson Park since October 2011. After cleaning, there was BBQ and sports where people from the neighborhood joined in.

TFC visits Pastor Chee's prayer house


On January 13th, TFC family visited Pastor Chee's prayer house in Black Canyon City. TFC family had a great time with some Korean food and time of fellowship.

Pastor Yoo talks about "Relational Inspiration for Lifestyle Servant Leadership" .


The Fall Forward Leadership Conference was held at ASU on Oct 15th, 2011. Pastor Sanghoon Yoo talked about how relationship building is a key part of servant leadership. He presented the servant leadership lifestyle followed at TFC which is based on building sincere relationships, mentoring and multi-cultural sensitivity.

COMPEF Network was activated to help out at a Mobile Home Park.


On Saturday, July 2, 2011 a fire broke out at a Mobile Home Park in Tempe. Fire and Police departments rushed to put out the fire and salvage the property. The fire broke out in the Manager's Mobile Home, which also housed the electricity grid for the entire Mobile Park. Due to the fire, the entire community was left without electricity on the hottest day of the year. COMPEF network was set in motion by the Mike Reichling from the Fire department...
