CRUSH

CRUSH is a servant leadership program purposed to raise young future servant leaders from multi-ethnic and international heritages in the community. It connects young people groups to established community leaders, fellowship and workshop opportunities, various community services, music & art fest, retreat, and other events to equip and coach them as vital community servant leaders in the future.

Our first CRUSH Luncheon was held in 2019 with about 60 established community leaders and young future servant leaders. Everyone enjoyed the fellowship, hearing Mayor Hallman's message, and young leaders' testimonials, and sharing heart and mind with other leaders.

The second CRUSH luncheon was aimed to strengthen the relationships formed in the first meeting and also set a plan for action for various activities to be conducted within this program. During the luncheon, Mayor Hugh Hallman and Dr. Gary Kinnaman shared their heart and the lessons they learned working for the community. Pastor Sanghoon Yoo presented the future plan and the CRUSH program. In addition, we have stories of life experiences shared by two young women and their experience working in a multicultural environment.

The third CRUSH meeting was held on Saturday evening, March 12th, 2011. This meeting was geared toward an informal gathering to build deeper bonds between established community leaders and young servant leaders. About 80 community leaders and young future leaders gathered for a time of fun and fellowship, starting with dinner and followed by multi-cultural performances and DJ'ing. There was time for people to get together and learn from each other’s experiences of working in multicultural settings.

On June 24, 2011, TFC organized a dinner fellowship for the young people in the community to come together and brainstorm ideas for how to mobilize people from the community to become servant leaders and serve others. To facilitate discussion, the Open Space Technology format was used and this resulted in a great and stimulating exchange of ideas.
