Founded in 1996, The Faithful City (TFC) develops multicultural and resilient servant leaders. We empower them to embark on transformative life journeys, creating vibrant communities of belonging.
Our theme is “Weave and Cleave”
We are woven from diverse backgrounds and cultures, cleaving to our community of unconditional love and constant care. Love and grace weave us together, regardless of our different experiences and the effects of trauma in our lives.
Trauma and its effects are part of the human condition. When we are completely accepted right where we are, we can experience holistic healing and become resilient servant leaders who care for others as ourselves.
Rev. Dr. Sanghoon Yoo
Our founder
Rev. Dr. Sanghoon Yoo, MSW, is the founder of The Faithful City, the Arizona Trauma Informed Faith Coalition, and the “Weave and Cleave” Movement. He serves as a Visiting Assistant Professor and Field Education Director in the Department of Social Work at Huntington University.
